MICHIGAN ANIMAL ADOPTION NETWORK PRESENTS “BARK AND BOWL”

April 7, 2009, Detroit, MI – The Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN) announces their next big event: “Bark and Bowl!”

“Bark and Bowl” takes place on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at Troy Lanes, located at 1950 E. Square Lake Road in Troy.  Registration begins at 6:30pm and bowling starts at 7pm.

The $30 entry fee includes: three games of bowling, dinner, shoe rental and a mystery game.  One hundred percent of the proceeds go to MAAN!  Proceeds will help shelter homeless animals in southeast Michigan. Additionally, “Bark and Bowl” will feature exciting door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.  It is a must-attend event for all animal lovers.  The event is open to bowlers of all ages.

“Due to the economy, there are so many animals that need our help.   ‘Bark and Bowl’ is a way for people to help us help animals in need and also have fun at the same time!” said Dave Martens, “Bark and Bowl” organizer.

MAAN continually strives for new and different ways to educate the public, to raise money to continue its rescue efforts, and to find loving homes for homeless pets.

To date MAAN has placed more than 4,000 animals through the Adopt-A-Pet program. Some are strays often picked up by ACN volunteers on their rounds; some are rescued from shelters; most are given up by their owners.
